Dr. Abubaker Mayanja (Dr. Abu)

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Abubaker Mayanja (Dr. Abu) is a veterinarian and poultry operations executive with over 16 years of leadership experience across poultry production, breeder management, hatchery operations, veterinary services, technical sales, and agribusiness operations in Uganda and the East African region.

He founded Abu Chicken Universe Uganda Limited with a vision of building Uganda and East Africa's trusted integrated poultry platform. He leads the company’s strategic direction, business development, operations, partnerships, and innovation, ensuring ACU delivers sustainable value to farmers, investors, and the wider agricultural sector.

Mrs. Sarah Namatovu Kayanja

Finance Manager

Mrs. Sarah Namatovu Kayanja holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and serves as the Finance Manager at Abu Chicken Universe Uganda Limited.

She oversees financial planning, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, cash flow management, compliance, internal controls, and investor reporting. Her commitment to financial discipline supports sustainable growth.

Dr. Zamzam Kikomeko

Veterinary & Production Manager

Dr. Zamzam Kikomeko holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) and has over 5 years of leadership experience in poultry production, breeder management, and veterinary services.

She leads flock health management, production planning, biosecurity, quality assurance, animal welfare, and farmer technical support to achieve healthier flocks and improved productivity.

Ian Ssekandi

Procurement & Supply Chain Manager

Ian Ssekandi holds a Bachelor of Procurement and Supply Chain Management and has over 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.

He is responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement planning, supplier relationships, logistics, inventory control, and maintaining reliable supply chains that support ACU’s growth.
